Before sending money
Confirm the exact property, who you are dealing with and their authority to offer it. Request a written quote and the proposed agreement in a language you understand, or arrange independent help with the wording. Match names, payment recipient and property details before committing.
View the actual unit where possible. If a remote viewing is your only option, ask to see the entrance and continuous walk-through rather than relying on a set of attractive images. Record what remains unverified instead of assuming it is included.
Clarify accommodation declaration
The national public-service portal provides a separate electronic temporary-stay declaration procedure. Ask the accommodation provider who will make the declaration and what information they need from you. Consult the current procedure linked below rather than treating an old social-media checklist as the rule.

Keep a useful handover record
